Youtube has provided us the unusual opportunity to create “Wessex Television,” a “channel” devoted to the collection and selection of videos posted online by 21st Century Hardy enthusiasts.   Thomas Hardy is now beginning his third century of popularity, one of the exceedingly few 19th century authors to maintain Jane Austen-like appeal.   Quite a few of these Youtube clips have be seen in excess of 50,000 times and more.
